However, the current rules state that even if you have a full licence for a car, you still have to take your CBT in order to be able to ride a small (125cc or under) motorcycle and use L-plates on the bike too.There are a few exceptions to this, which are The A1 allows you to ride up to a 125cc bike with engine power not exceeding 11kw (~15hp) and a maximum power to weight ratio of 0.1kw per kg. You can also ride motor trikes up to 15kw (20hp) on this license category. Riding a bike more powerful than the restriction limits is not smart.
